Audition for TIE Tour of Italy- Sketch and Workshop Leaders
Actors needed for a 6-month TIE tour of Italy.
We are a non-profit organisation endorsed by the Italian Ministry of Education operating successfully for over 30 years. The company promotes a student based teaching method and was the first in Italy to use drama to teach English to children through Theatre In Education (T.I.E.) with our touring company.
We are looking for young, enthusiastic actors with T.I.E. experience to tour Italian schools presenting interactive English language shows supported by workshops. Touring in groups of four, actors will perform English shows and co-ordinate class workshops for particular age groups.
As an actor you should have the flexibility to perform in a range of genres from Slapstick to Shakespeare. We also allow you the freedom to bring your own skills and personality into each performance.
This is an exciting opportunity for actors with a love for T.I.E. and have a passion for working with children.
Knowledge of the Italian language is not necessary.
This unique experience provides the opportunity to act, teach and travel Italy taking in the Italian culture. It is an invaluable opportunity for future careers and an experience never to be forgotten!
We will contribute up to 50€ towards the cost of arriving in the country, then whilst here, all accommodation, car, petrol, car insurance and work insurance is covered. There is a three-week paid rehearsal period in January (150€ per week) and a salary of 250€ per week whilst on tour.
Auditions are by invitation and will be held in London, UK at the beginning of November 2014. Exact date to be confirmed. The tour begins early January with a three-week rehearsal period and runs for 6 months. Exact dates confirmed on job offer.
