Audition for East 43rd Street
“East 43rd Street” (working Title) is a 25-30 minutes thriller film-noir film that explores Nat Marley has been made to be a fall guy for a crime he did not commit. As he tries to clear his name, he gets involved in multi million pound scam and murder in a very film noir-esque mystery.
CASTING NEEDS: 5 main actors need for a short student film of the graduate year project –Travel expenses and food/drinks on set.
Roles:
Nat Marley – Age: early 40s – Sex: Male
Nat is the main protagonist of the story. Ex-police officer, now an old-fashioned private investigator which has mostly had the ordinary work like divorce cases. Jokey on the surface, cynical within.
Captain Oldenberg – Age: mid 40s – Sex: Male
Oldenberg is a Captain in the police force. Towering tall and fit as an ox. Was a former colleague of Nat. Hardworking & Rigid thinker; gets the job done. “All is fair” mentality.
Robert Lake – Age: early 40s – Sex: Male
Robert is a president of multimillion dollar Lake Software. He is extremely intelligent and rich, confident . Physique and will are weak.
Tommy Lam – Age: late 30s – Sex: Male
He is a rich Chinese professional criminal and very dangerous. Average height and lean body. Expensively dressed and surrounded by body guards. He enjoys being in control. Not deterred by punishment or consequences of his action.
Angela Lake – Age: mid 30s – Sex: Female
Stunningly beautiful and she knows it. Wavy hairs and leggy curved body. She is brave, bold and intelligent. In her late 20s, she married to rich Robert Lake 3 years ago.
