Audition for CBBC's Junior Vets on call
Help!!! Pets, wildlife and all things animally are in peril!!!
VETS AND ANIMAL CARERS ALL OVER THE UK, ARE IN DESPERATE NEED OF A HELPING HAND! SO CBBC IS RECRUITING A VERY SPECIAL NETWORK OF JUNIOR VETS TO HELP SORT THINGS OUT! THEY MUST BE READY TO JUMP INTO ACTION WHEN CALLED … AND YOU COULD BE ONE OF THEM!
CBBC are on the lookout for all kinds of recruits who will spend an exciting (though tough!) day working with injured or poorly animals. But we’re not just looking for recruits who have a house rammed full of pets and loads of experience with animals…
Maybe you’ve never even thought of looking after animals before … who knows you might discover you have a hidden talent.
You might love animals but have never had a chance to get near or care for animals before.
Perhaps you get freaked out by all things furry and feathered - and just the thought of working in a busy vet’s practice makes you shake with fear?
You might love all animals, already help them and dream of becoming a vet or animal carer when you’re older!
As long as you’ve got the determination to succeed and overcome any fears or phobias then we want to hear from you right NOW!
Make no mistake about it, it’ll be hard work (but lots of laughs too) and you’ll be helping save animals’ lives.
So, ask yourself this question … ARE YOU UP FOR THE CHALLENGE OF A LIFETIME?
CBBC are looking for volunteers who will be between the age of 9 and 14 on 23rd March 2015. If you are chosen to be part of the Junior Vets On Call Network, you may be called to help on more than one day so please make sure you tell us when you are not available anytime between 23rd March 2015 and 15th May 2015.
The Junior Vets On Call will be working in pairs – don’t worry, you can apply by yourself - but you can also get a pal or relative to apply with you. If you do, give yourself a team name and put it on the application form!
The closing date for applications is 20th March 2015. Unfortunately we cannot accept applications from anyone below the age of 9 years old because of the nature of the veterinary work involved … sorry!
