Audition for Male actor playing age 60 to 65
Looking for male actor for role in short student film to be shot in Slovenia.
TYPE OF PRODUCTION
Montilmon is a short student film. Thus it is a non-payed work. However we cover all cost of transportation (tickets from London-Ljubljana) and accomodation (four star hotel). Transportations and daily expanses are coverd. Furthermore, in case of commercial theatrical release we provide an income share of 4%.
Montilmon (pitch)
Freight ship captain rescues a man in the middle of Atlantic. He takes him to their end destination, port of Koper in a small country Slovenia. As man claims to be the captain of sinked Titanic, he turns him over for evaluation to his friend and CEO of private sanatorium. His case if further handled by Dr. Bevc, psychiatrist on leave. Something that seems as easy as “just put your name on the record confirming he is crazy” turns out as a bit more complicated matter. Firstly, there are some information “captain” provides about Titanic. Those information has never been revealed to public. Secondly he speaks with fluet Southampton 19th century accent. And then comes DNA analisys… Montilmon is a dark comedy, with a surprising twist. It deals with today’s people obssesion with media. Film explores the question what are we all willing to do for our five minutes of glory.
LOCATION
Principal shooting will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia on Tuesday, April 28th to Wednsday, April 29th 2015.
We are looking for a role of captain Edward John Smith at age 60-65 (male, caucasian).
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
It is expected from actor to use 19th century Southampton dialect/accent.
We will provide prerecorded dialogues and a dialogue coach on set.
