Audition for Separated, Divorced & Step Families Needed for 'Modern Family' Documentary
We are making a ground breaking documentary series with Channel 5 where separated parents and their respective new partners have the opportunity to find a parenting solution that works with the help of professionals.
- Do you have children with an ex and find it difficult to communicate with the other parent of your child?
- Are you worried that your communication issues are affecting the kids?
- Have you and your ex moved on with new partners?
- Would you like the opportunity to better your family life?
The documentary is based on the premise that it can be incredibly difficult for divorced and separated parents to find an effective way to cooperatively raise their child(ren) after a break-up.
At the same time it’s healthier for these children to be raised without parental conflict and wherever possible, substantial access to the love, support and input of both their parents, even after separation.
Official statistics show that around half of all divorcees have a child under the age of 16. In order for parents to be able to get to a place where they can co-parent – parents often have to deal with feelings of hurt, anger and resentment, for the sake of the children.
For this landmark new series, we’re looking to film with divorced or separated parents, and also step-parents – with the aim of finding a resolution that allows both parents to be actively involved in their child’s upbringing – with the needs of the child being prioritised. Contributors will also have full access to professionals all the way through the process.
At this stage there is absolutely no obligation for anyone we speak to, to be involved in the programme. All conversations are held in the strictest of confidence and we’re fully compliant with the Data Protection Act.
