Audition for 35+ AND 50+ ACTRESSES NEEDED FOR SHORT DRAMA FILM
We are seeking two actresses, one aged 35+ and one aged 50+ to take part in a student film based on the hardships of dementia. We are a group of second year TV Production students at Bournemouth University looking to create a short drama piece. We will be shooting on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th March in and around Bournemouth.
Our production is entitled 'Generation' and deals with the relationship between mother (Helen) and daughter (Lauren) as they struggle to deal with the harsh realities of their mother/grandmother (Lilian)'s increasingly apparent signs of dementia. We are seeking to convey an emotionally gripping journey through an 8 minute drama piece.
This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your skills within a professional environment. We will be able to provide you with a copy of the final product upon completion (online link or hard copy).
Although this job is unpaid we will be able to offer travel and food expenses for both days of filming.
CHARACTERS:
Helen:
Helen is a 40 year old woman. She struggles with the realities of raising her daughter (Lauren, 20) and looking after her slowly declining mother (Lilian, 80).
Lauren:
Lauren is a 20 year old woman. She is happy go lucky and very close to her grandmother (Lilian, 80). She does not have a good relationship with her mother (Helen, 40).
