A new BBC series "THE BIG VACATION" is looking to follow groups of (ideally) 18-20 year olds to find out how teenagers from across Europe spend their vacations....
Do Brits have more fun?
So we’re producing a series for BBC, its working title at present is The Big Vacation, It will basically be looking at how teenagers from all over Europe spend their summer holidays and does it differ from nationality to nationality?
We want to know, “Do British teenagers have more fun and know how to party better than the rest of Europe?” So ask yourself that question and if you’re answering yes, then this is a great way to prove it!
The Big Vacation is a fun and light hearted insight into the world of young people escaping it all and going on holiday. We want to see what happens when British teens go away together, do you get on? Do your relationships change? Do you interact with other nationalities or mostly stay with other Brits?
It will look at every aspect of the teenage holiday. Who you go with? What activities you get up to? Where you go? What your priorities are? How do you cope and most importantly how you interact with each other and the people around you when you are away from your own country?
We want to get to know the groups of holiday makers, find out who influences who and see if the highs and lows of a teenage holidays are fundamentally the same whether you’re from England, France or Slovakia!
For example does planning a night out always involve the “Do I look good in this?”, “Will there be lots of talent?” and “Which club is THE club to be seen in?” questions?
During your holiday we will do interviews with you and the group you are travelling with and ask you to talk through your experiences of the week/How you have coped during your first time on your own in another country? Do British teenager’s get on with each other when spending an intense week together, does it make us stronger friends, and do we feel more confident with strangers?
This is a fun and light-hearted look, no one is a winner we just want to see how Europe has fun in the sun
