Audition for Participants wanted for new Channel 4 programme about first time dates
Hello. I'm developing a new British documentary series for Channel 4 about dating. I have just started on the project and I am in search of people for a non-broadcast short pilot film to give Channel 4 a clear vision of what the series will consist of.
We would like to find people who are about to embark on their first dates and document the whole process involved, following the themes of the successful fly-on-the-wall programmes such as ‘24 Hours in A&E’ and ‘One Born Every Minute’ with a rigged camera set-up in order to record and cover every angle. The couple will know they are being filmed however with no cameras visible or obviously present we hope to make the date feel as natural as possible.
For the pilot film we are looking for a selection of different people who are in search of finding a suitable first date. To reiterate - this is not an entertainment show where we’re trying to take credit for matchmaking or mock anyone who is looking for love. We are making an honest and clear documentary series in search of real people who are serious about finding the right partner and who want to find someone to spend their life with.
We are keen to reflect a balanced and fair cross section of society in the programme, and will pay each dater £100 for their time.
