Audition for Various lead roles and extra required for feature length film
Auditions are being held in Walsall on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th February 2012 for this feature length film.
In any hotel, there are stories. Each guest has one, a past, a conflict, as well as hope. Set in a hotel over the course of 24 hours, 'Checking In', tells five stories, each allowing us an insight into some of these persona's. What happens when an Asian wedding goes awry? Can a one-night stand be more than just that? Will a singer regain her inspiration? These are just some of the stories you will find when you 'check in', coming in 2012. They will make you laugh, smile and cry.
Auditions will be held in Walsall on Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th of February 2012. Actors will need to be prepare a 10 minute monologue of their choice for the auditions. All character parts are speaking roles. Extras are also required, especially Asian actors.
Breakdown of characters:
General Manager - Man/Woman: Early – late 40s, smart attire and have an authorial presence
Maid - Woman: Early 20s – 30s, general attire, innocence and shyness a welcoming attribute
Sally - Woman: Early 20s – 30s, general attire, presentable for on stage. Must be able to sing
Tim - Man: 30s – 40s, Smart Casual, almost presentable.
Ed – Man: 20 – 30, into manga cartoons/entertainment culture
Jenessa – Woman: Early 20s – 30s, into manga cartoons/entertainment culture
Ren - Japanese Man: Mid 30s, main part for story 4, smartly dressed, clean shaven
Indian Bride - Woman: Late 20's to early 30s. Fairly modern in appearance.
Indian Bride-Groom - Late 20s to early 30s. Smartly dressed and shaven.
Indian Mother - Late 40s to early 50s
Bride-Groom's Brother: - Early 20s to late 20s
Aaron - Man. Mid –late 20s, casual looking, trendy. Must be comfortable with intimate scenes with another male actor/character and some partial nudity
Due to budget limitations all parts are unpaid but will serve as experience and showreel footage. The film will be sent to major festivals nationally and internationally.
Filming will take place on 1st - 3rd April 2012.
All applicants must be living in West Midlands.
