Looking for actors and extras in Devon area
We are creating his short story 'Big Driver' from his book 'Full Dark, No Stars' and are looking for several actors. We need –
A middle aged, small, blonde woman;
Two extremely tall and well-built men, late 50's,
mid 60's women;
A 20-something woman.
Two drivers.
40 + female extras for one scene. (All must have license and vehicle due to locations)
We shall be filming throughout summer in Devon, from the 9th August until the 17th. It’ll be one intense week and a bit, pretty much dawn until dusk. We do need anyone to book the time off work etc. due to filming commitments. We shall cover costs for petrol, but this entire project is being funded through the public, so this will, sadly, be unpaid. We shall provide food etc. This is however, an amazing opportunity; the chance to star in a genuine Stephen King film is one you can't simply let go. It shall be shown around the world at many film festivals, and a copy shall be given to the man himself. This could open many doors for many people, and will look fantastic on anyone's CV.
This is an extremely dark story, and will be a challenging shoot. The story is of a middle aged woman, Tess, who is a reasonably successful author. She goes to a book club to talk to some fans, and is directed by the head librarian to a different route home; she takes it, but her tyre bursts from some wood left in the road. A man stops to help her, but instead beats her and assaults her in an abandoned garage. She is left in a culvert with 3 other corpses.
She plays dead, and when he leaves, she escapes and manages to get home. She washes away the evidence, and decides to take matters into her own hands, and kill all those involved. She finds out the librarian is in fact her attacker’s mother, and they've been working together over the last couple of years. She goes and kills her, the man who assaulted her, and his brother.
