Audition for Touring Panto and TIE cast wanted
South East based, bubbly, hard working performers are wanted to join us for this year's season of TIE and pantomime tours across Kent, Essex and East Sussex.
We are looking for Actors and Actresses to join our team of performers. We have various small scale TIE tours throughout the year and at Christmas we have several pantomime tours. The first of our tours this year will commence rehearsals in late June/early July, though we will also be looking to cast our pantomimes from this round of auditions.
We are looking for bubbly, hard working individuals who enjoy working with children. Most of our tours are in Primary Schools, though we also tour Village Halls, Clubs and Pre Schools. You must also be a good team worker as you will be required to help with the get in and strike with every show. Singing and dancing ability is an advantage, though not essential, as is being a driver.
One of our aims is to bring local theatre to local people, therefore, we only use people with a base within a commutable distance of Maidstone or Chelmsford, (our meeting points depending on which tour you are on). This enables all our cast to return to the comforts of their own homes at the end of each day, a rare luxury when touring. Please state in your application where you live/where your base is.
We pay a small rehearsal fee and a show fee, which does vary depending on which tour you're on, but so does the length of the show. The minimum hourly rate you'll earn per show is £7.14, and all transport between the meeting point and the venue is provided.
